Gujarat Morbi  Bridge Collapsed - Know about Morbi Bridge 

Gujrat Morbi Bridge was built during British Rule in India on Machchhu River

It was also known as Jhulto Pul  which means "swinging bridge" It was a 230-metre long.

It was inaugurated on 20 February 1879. The toll bridge reopened on 26 October 2022 on the event of Gujarati New Year, after being closed for around six months for repairing work.

There were more than 400 people were on the bridge at the time of collapse on 30 October 2022

Over 130 people, were killed in the incident. Bridge was opened to the public ahead of schedule by the private company maintaining it,

Nine people were arrested against this incident  and FIR were lodged against bridge maintenance, operation agencies

Tickets were sold for ₹ 12 to ₹ 17 on day of collapse; there was no evident crowd control during this time.
